Goku is the main character of all of the Dragonball series. He is the son of Bardock a lower class Saiyan. When he was first born he was put in a space pod and given the mission to destroy the planet Earth when he was able. He was launched into space from planet Vegeta to planet Earth. After leaving his homeplanet the evil Frieza destroyed planet Vegeta along with his father and all the saiyans. Goku reached Earth safetly and landed in a forest. He was then found by an old martial artist named Gohan. Gohan raised Goku as his own son but Goku was always angry and refused to do anything Gohan told him. One day Gohan was carrying Goku on a small pouch on his back while taking a walk. Gohan went up along the mountains and Goku was acting up as usual. Then Goku fell off Gohan's pouch, fell off the mountain and banged his head upon a rock. This gave Goku a major head injury and memorey loss. He lost all memorey of his homeplanet, heritage, and his mission to destroy Earth. After Gohan nursed him back to health he began to behave to Gohan. But Goku's head injury did not stop his powers. To Gohan's suprise he had amazing strength that no human can have. One day Goku looks up to the full moon. When he does it turns him into a giant ape named a Oozaru which many Saiyans 
could do if they had there tails attached to their body. When turned into a Oozau Goku like many others becomes a monster of destruction and goes on a rampage. During his rampage he kills Grandpa Gohan by smashing him. The next morning Goku wakes up and has no memorey of what happend last night and thinks that Gohan was killed by another monster that comes out on the full moon similar to the Oozaru. Goku keeps the 4 star dragonball one of the seven dragonballs. He keeps the dragonball close to him making sure it wont leave his sight. One day he meets a girl named Bulma who is searching for the dragonballs he then goes on a quest with Bulma to find the dragonballs. Along the way Goku meet new friends like Oolong, Yamcha, Puar, Krillen, Launch, Tien, and Chaozu. But he also meets evil enemies such as Emperor Pilaf, Mercenary Tao, Commander Red, Adjudant Black, and King Piccolo. Over the years he gets lessons from the Turtle Hermit Master Roshi and the Earth Guardian Kami and his servant Mr Popo. He also fights the King Piccolo's reincarnation and son Piccolo Jr which turns out as Goku's most challenging fight. When Dragonball ended Goku got married to a girl named Chi Chi the Ox Kings daughter and they have a sone named Gohan who was named after the man who raised Goku. During the beginging of Dragonball Z Goku learns about his origin from his brother Raditz who has came to Earth. Goku and Piccolo Jr team up to fight Goku but Goku ends up dying when holding Raditz still for Piccolo to use his Special Beam Cannon. Goku in the afterlife trains with King Kai who is preparing him for Vegeta and Nappa who are some of the reamaining Saiyans who survived. Goku battles Vegeta and the battle between them ends in somewhat a draw. Vegeta flees into his space ship and leaves planet Earth. His son Gohan, Bulma, and Krillen go to the planet Namek to find the dragonballs to revive their friends who lost their lives to Nappa. Goku gets their later and battles the Ginyu Force members Burter, Jeice, and Ginyu. But the real challenge awaits when Frieza kills Vegeta. Goku cant seem to match up to Friezas ultimate strength. The battle goes out of control when Frieza kills Krillen Goku's best friend. Fuled by the hate of what Frieza has done to so many he enters Super Saiyan. With his new power he easily wipes away Frieza. Goku meet more challenging people along the way such as Cell, Broly, Cooler, and Majin Buu. At the end of Dragonball Z he leaves his friends and family to help train Uub the reincarnation of Kid Buu. In the begining of Dragonball GT the evil Emperor Pilaf accidently turns Goku into a kid again. But more worries stir up when the wish was made on the Black Star Dragonballs which will destroy the Earth in one year if they are not returned back to Earth. The saerch for them leads to General Rilldo and Dr Myuu who want to rule the galaxy. But the real fight occurs when Baby comes onto the stage and drives Goku to Super Saiyan 4. He also encounters Android 17 again. But his most difficult challenge comes when he fights Syn Shenron the final Shadow Dragon. He was able to gather the energy of all of the aliens and people of the universe to destroy Omega (Syn) for good. He then leaves with the dragon Shenron to train or something like that.
